Parents usually don't know that children need to "learn" good vision. The eyes, optical nerves and brain are there but the interaction of these three needs to be trained pretty much like we learn to speak and walk. While parents are able to observe progress in speaking and walking, what a child sees remains unknown. In the first years of life, vision disorders can prevent age appropriate development of vision and may lead to Amblyopia, i.e a lazy eye. Amblyopia is a life long vision impairment that can't be treated. By early detection of vision disorders and treatment of these vision disorders already, Amblyopia can be prevented.
Founded in 2001 in Nuernberg/Germany, our company has specialized in development, manufacturing and distribution of medical devices to fight Amblopia. These devices detect vision disorders in infants, provide full refraction information during eye exams and help researching the functioning of the eye. In 2007 we established our US subsidiary to build-up and support distribution in North and South America.
